Replenishment needs

The Replenishment needs report page uses the demand forecast to suggest you the stock thresholds. An automatic job runs every night, analyzes the stock outflows of the last period and calculates the average demand per day for each product. Based on it, it proposes a minimum stock and a recommended stock.

Info

This report appears in the menu only if the Enable demand forecast option is activated in Settings. As long as the option is off, the report is not visible in the Reports menu.

In the report appear only the products for which there is a usable suggestion: those that had outflows in the analyzed period, on at least a few different days, with a positive average demand. Products without movements or with a too rare history do not appear here and keep their manual thresholds.

The columns of the report are:

  • Product code / Product name - the product
  • Stock - the available stock
  • Minimum stock - the minimum threshold currently set on the product
  • Suggested minimum stock - the minimum threshold proposed by the forecast
  • Recommended stock - the recommended threshold currently set on the product
  • Suggested recommended stock - the recommended threshold proposed by the forecast
  • Average daily demand - the average demand per day calculated from the history

Applying the suggestions

Nothing changes automatically - you decide when you apply (except for the case in which you have activated Apply suggested thresholds automatically). You have three ways to copy the suggested values into the minimum and recommended stock of the products:

  • the button on each row - applies the suggestion for a single product
  • Apply suggested thresholds (selected) - applies for the checked products
  • Apply suggested thresholds (all) - applies for all the products with a suggestion

The Info button in the toolbar opens a short explanation about how the suggestions work.

From this page you cannot add or delete products. You can customize the way of displaying (using the Columns option), filter, sort the list or export the report.
