Validating an inventory¶
After you have created an inventory from BackOffice (see how to create an inventory), it must be validated through the mobile terminal.
First, select Inventory from the main menu.
Then look up your inventory ID.
This is what the screen with the inventory information looks like:
To start the validation process, press Count a new product.
Then you will be taken to a page where you must enter the location code and the product code. Then press Enter.
Then you must enter the counted quantity of the product, then press Enter. If the product has batches, you must first enter the batch you are counting.

During the counting process (after you have entered the location and the product code), this product-location combination is locked, which means you cannot finalize goods receipts, returns, orders, transfers or expenditure receipts, because that would otherwise affect the inventory. After you finish counting, you can resume these processes.

If you scan the same product-location combination, you have three additional options: add to the existing quantity, recount or cancel the scan. This can be useful if you have not counted all the products exactly or if you need to start over.
Continue scanning all the products with their respective locations and the counted quantities. After you have finished, you must return to BackOffice and validate the inventory from there.
