Adding a new product

How to add a new product

  • Go to Nomenclatures → Products
  • Press the Add button

On the next page you configure the new product. The product add page has several sections:

General information

This section contains the product's basic fields: the name, the unit of measure, the category, the code, the status, the additional code and the SKU.

  • Name — enter the product name. Required field.
  • Unit of measure — select the unit of measure from the dropdown list.

  • Category — select the product category from the dropdown list. Required field.

Categories must first be defined here: Adding a new category.

  • Code — enter a unique code for the product. By default, a unique code is generated automatically, but you can change it freely. Required field.
  • Status — toggle for activating or deactivating the product. Default is "active".
  • Additional code — optionally, you can enter an additional code to identify the product more easily. It must be unique among the additional codes. Not required.
  • SKU — the product's storage code. It must be unique. Not required.

Stock settings

This section controls how the product is tracked in stock. It is not required.

  • Minimum stock — the minimum quantity below which the product is considered in need of replenishment.
  • Maximum stock — the maximum recommended quantity in the warehouse.
  • Require SN — choose whether the product requires a serial number. Options: Yes / No. If the optional SN configuration is enabled, you will have three options: Inbound and outbound, Outbound optional and No. A product cannot require both a serial number and a batch at the same time.
  • Require batch — choose whether the product requires a batch code. Options: Yes / No.
  • Require batch details — choose whether the product requires additional details about the batch. Options: Yes / No. The field is only available if Require batch is set to Yes.
  • Require production date — choose whether the product requires a production date. Options: Yes / No.
  • Require expiry date — choose whether the product requires an expiry date. Options: Yes / No.
  • Stock rotation method — the rotation method used when displaying and ordering the stock when creating the order: Default, FEFO, FIFO or LIFO.
  • Automatic batch blocking on production exit — automatically blocks batches on production exit. Options: Yes / No.
  • Batch blocking days — the number of days the batch remains blocked. The field is only available when Automatic batch blocking on production exit is Yes.
  • Stock synchronization — synchronizes the stock with the external platform. Options: Yes / No. The field is editable only if there is an active stock integration (MerchantPro, Gomag or EasySales).
  • Stock is tracked — choose whether the product's stock is managed. Options: Yes / No. If No, the product will have no managed stock, does not enter the order with a stock line and is not scanned in the picking process (e.g. services, fees, labor).

Info

This section helps with a more precise identification and tracking of the product.

Dimension information

This section contains the physical dimensions of the product. It is not required and helps with a better identification of the product.

  • Width (cm) — enter the product width.
  • Height (cm) — enter the product height.
  • Length (cm) — enter the product length.
  • Diameter (cm) — enter the product diameter.
  • Volume (cubic cm) — enter the product volume.
  • Area (square cm) — enter the product area.

Production information

This section contains information related to production and packaging. It is not required.

  • Pallet — the pallet associated with the product.
  • Number of products per pallet — how many units fit on a pallet.
  • Validity (days) — the product's validity period, in days.

Auto Refill Flow information

This section configures the automatic replenishment of picking locations.

  • Use automatic stock maintenance flow in locations — enables or disables automatic replenishment for this product.
  • Minimum quantity — the minimum quantity that must exist in the location. Available only when the flow is enabled.
  • Recommended quantity — the recommended quantity that must exist in the location. Available only when the flow is enabled.
  • Refill locations — lists the picking locations available in the warehouse for replenishment. Available only when the flow is enabled.

How the flow works

  • When a transfer is created through automatic replenishment, the document generated in the mobile terminal must contain the respective product and quantity in order to be validated.
  • Exception: when the picking location is changed for a product with an active flow, all active transfers / pending picking lists that have a different destination will be deactivated.

Additional information

The additional information section contains optional data about the product. It is not required, but it can be useful depending on the product type.

  • Purchase price — the product's purchase price.
  • Sale price — the product's sale price.
  • VAT — select the product's VAT rate from the dropdown list.
  • Additional name — an additional name for the product.
  • Delivery time — the product's delivery time, in days.
  • Weight (kg) — the product weight.
  • Pressure — the product pressure.
  • Material — the product material.
  • Color — the product color.
  • Parity — the product's stock parity. Read-only field.
  • Description — a description of the product.
  • Additional details — additional details about the product.

After filling in all the required fields and any desired ones, press Add to create the product or Cancel to discard the entry.
